"Hiker's Surprise", 10x10"
Many years ago I was privileged to stay at Purcell Mountain Lodge with a bunch of friends. I was the only painter and I took great pleasure in painting many beautiful views from life, as well as taking a bunch of fabulous photos. I was caught by the light hitting the small waterfall in this reference, so decided to push that in this painting. The result is more about how it felt to be here, than about what it actually looked like!
